TIGER EXERCISES OPT-OUT CLAUSE

Golf giant Tiger Woods is reported to have ditched his Nike titanium driver. He is rumoured to be reaching for the trusty old Titleist 975D which swept him to the pinnacle of the golfing world back in 1999. Although Woods has signed lucrative endorsement contracts with Nike, who kit him out from head to foot (his five year clothing deal is reputed to have netted him $150m), his inability to maintain consistency with the Nike club, which was designed specially for him, has forced the switch.

The IPKat says: “When playing golf at the highest level, emulate Tiger Woods -- make sure there’s an opt-out clause in your endorsement contracts in case the product you’ve endorsed doesn’t deliver the goods”.
