Here's a useful event for any British legal practitioner seeking an update on developments in IT law: Central Law Training's seventh annual Information Technology Update, held on Monday 31 January at the Jury's Great Russell Street Hotel. Speakers include the ever-popular Robert Carolina (Origin) on outsourcing and procurement, not to mention another regular star, Jon Fell (Pinsent Masons), who speaks on latest developments in e-commerce. Newcomers include David Morris (Slaughter and May), who will be jumping the hurdles of the ECJ's decision in the British Horserecing Board case, and Queen Mary lecturer Alan Cunningham, who will lay bare the innermost legal secrets of digital rights management. One half of the IPKat will be there: hope to see you.

Digital rights management: more than a handful for lawyers today?
