Issue One of the Sweet & Maxwell subscription-only bimonthly European Copyright and Design Reports has now been published. It contains five cases:
* British Horseracing Board v William Hill and the three Fixtures Marketing cases on which the European Court of Justice has recently given rulings;
Lancome: now that perfume smells are protected by copyright in the Netherlands,
will flower scents be protected by plant varieties rights?* Lancome v Kecofa, an English translation of the Netherlands appellate decision that shocked the world, holding that perfume is protectable as a copyright work.
