CAT CAPTION COMPETITION; SOLE PRACTITIONERS' MEETING

Cat caption contest - only one day to go!

Tomorrow mid-day (Greenwich mean time) is the last opportunity for entering the IPKat's Cat Caption competition, the prize being free admittance to The Business of IP: 10 questions the CEO will ask in the next 5 years - an exciting two-day conference run by Intellectual Asset Management in cooperation with IP Review Live.

Entries for the competition should be sent here

IP Sole Practitioners' meeting

The meeting for Sole Practitioners and Small Practitioners in Intellectual Property has generated a lot of interest and a little confusion too, since on one occasion we got the date wrong... A contrite kitty apologises.

Above: the IPKat practises being contrite, but the facial expression
doesn't always come out quite right ...

Margaret Briffa will be speaking and Alice Mastrovito will be in attendance. To confirm: it's going to be on Thursday 16 February 2006, from 5pm to 7pm in the Crown Tavern, Clerkenwell Green. Follow this link for all the (correct) data and for travel details.

All comments must be moderated by a member of the IPKat team before they appear on the blog. Comments will not be allowed if the contravene the IPKat policy that readers' comments should not be obscene or defamatory; they should not consist of ad hominem attacks on members of the blog team or other comment-posters and they should make a constructive contribution to the discussion of the post on which they purport to comment.

It is also the IPKat policy that comments should not be made completely anonymously, and users should use a consistent name or pseudonym (which should not itself be defamatory or obscene, or that of another real person), either in the "identity" field, or at the beginning of the comment. Current practice is to, however, allow a limited number of comments that contravene this policy, provided that the comment has a high degree of relevance and the comment chain does not become too difficult to follow.
