Suicide rates are high amongst Indian and Australian farmers. That I think causes a general distrust in the 'system'. I think Monsanto also has a terrible reputation for chasing profits and trying to obtain more and more monopoly positions through the technologies they develop. I think its something that needs government intervention to bring in more regulation of the big agri multinationals and to start building bridges with the small farming community.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
