This post is much too complicated fo...Dear Jeremy:<br /><br />This post is much too complicated for an attention-challenged soul like me, especially since I had to go to the 20 volume OED to ascertain the meaning of "whinge".<br /><br />Whilst lost in the OED, I also discovered that "sabbatic" is both an adjective and a noun. It means:<br /><br />A.A adj. a.A.a Of or pertaining to the Sabbath; resembling or appropriate to the Sabbath. sabbatic year = sabbatical year (sabbatical a. 2 a). <br /><br />b.A.b = sabbatical a. 2 c. rare. <br /><br />†B.B n. A sabbatic year.
