MAKE YOUR MARK ON THE EU


The EU is running a competition for young designers and art students. The challenge is to design a logo for the EU’s 50th birthday. The happy day is 27 March 2007, but entries must be in by 30 September 2006.

    To be exact:

    The EU will in 2007 be only 15 years old, since its 'creation' by the Maastricht treaty in 1992.

    The European Community (one of the three 'pillars' of the EU) will be 50 years old in 2007, since the Treaty establishing the European Community was signed in Rome on 25 March 1957.
