Thank you, Neil!

The IPKat demonstrating a future of naps
and relaxing for Neil in his Kat retirement

Readers will have seen PermaKat Neil Wilkof’s au revoir message
this morning (here).  The IPKat, Merpel, the AmeriKat and the entire pride of Kats wish to take this opportunity to express their thanks for the 15 years of contributions by Neil.  His posts were renowned for interlacing literature, culture and history with the world of IP in a way that made niche topics of IP law and practice accessible to many.

Neil’s witty insights and thought provoking perspective on how intellectual property interacted with human endeavor was instantly recognizable and generated a cult following.

The entire IPKat team thanks Neil for his unwavering support of making IP knowledge and insight accessible to all as part of The IPKat’s continued mission to provide free, accessible and wide ranging IP news and insights to the world.

Thank you, Neil.  Meow.

All comments must be moderated by a member of the IPKat team before they appear on the blog. Comments will not be allowed if the contravene the IPKat policy that readers' comments should not be obscene or defamatory; they should not consist of ad hominem attacks on members of the blog team or other comment-posters and they should make a constructive contribution to the discussion of the post on which they purport to comment.

It is also the IPKat policy that comments should not be made completely anonymously, and users should use a consistent name or pseudonym (which should not itself be defamatory or obscene, or that of another real person), either in the "identity" field, or at the beginning of the comment. Current practice is to, however, allow a limited number of comments that contravene this policy, provided that the comment has a high degree of relevance and the comment chain does not become too difficult to follow.
