IT COSTS THE SUN THE EARTH ...


The Register reports that Kodak has scooped $92 million from Sun Microsystems in settlement of a patent infringement claim relating to an old Wang patent that Kodak acquired in 1997. The patent was allegedly blocking use of Sun's Java software.

The IPKat notes that 92 is not just the number of millions of dollars that Sun must fork out -- it's also the approximate number of millions of miles from the Sun to the Earth.
