Copyright Cortex will be launched on 20 June 2017 at the British Library in London. The project is a collaboration between CREATe at the University of Glasgow and Queen's University Belfast. It is aimed at becoming the principal point of reference regarding the impact of copyright law on the creation, access, and use of the digital cultural heritage. Speakers will be Lionel Bently (University of Cambridge), Jill Cousins (Europeana), Ronan Deazley (Queen’s University Belfast), and Ben White (British Library). The World Youth Forum for Ethics in Innovation (WYF 2017) will take place on 23 and 25 June at the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition in Munich. The WYF 2017 is a leadership-training workshop addressed to selected university students and young professionals. The theme of this year is ‘Understanding and Promoting Ethics in Innovation in the 21st Century Global Village’. Munich Conference Series on “Ethics in Innovation” will take place on 26 and 27 June 2017 at the German Patent and Trade Mark Office. This two-day conference will cover such topics as artificial intelligence, internet of things, digitization and innovation from ethical, scientific, educational and regulatory points of view. Last but not least, on 9 and 10 May 2017, a delegation of the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) of Argentina visited the EPO in Munich. During the visit, the EPO and INPI signed a Memorandum of Understanding on bilateral cooperation and discussed such topics as the Patent Prosecution Highway programme and the EPO’s search tool EPOQUE Net.
