Call for papers

The Centre for a Digital Society asks for papers from scholars across the globe to offer fresh perspectives, empirical research and theoretical insights into the complex relationship between IP rights and competition law. More information can be found here.

Amicus Curiae Briefs

INTA and MARQUES filed Amicus Curiae Briefs in the case before the Grand Board of Appeal of the European Union Intellectual Property Office regarding the conversion of EU trade marks (IPKat here). INTA’s brief is accessible here. MARQUES’ brief is only accessible to members here but a free summary can be found here. Both associations largely agree that a conversion should be possible even in the EU Member State in which a ground for refusal was held to apply as long as the refusal decision has not become final.
