Advocate General Ruiz-Jarabo Colomer's opinion in the PICASSO/PICARO case is now out, but not in English. The IPKat didn't understand too much in the French version, but he did understand:

  1. That the AG has advised the court to dismiss the appeal against the CFI's decisions;
  2. That there is a section ominously entitled "Brief final digression".

    This art-loving cultural pessimistic AG really wanted to help the Picasso's but couldn't, as the essence of the appeal concerned facts (CFI) and not questions of law (ECJ). The "Brief final digression" (in which the AG digresses about the protection of artist against merchandising and other vultural acts of worshippers of the Mammon)is, like the introduction of the conclusion actually very poetic.
