"The Administrative Board has prepared a list with a single candidate (Mr Campinos) to be appointed by the Council as President of OHIM. The Administrative Board has prepared a list with three candidates to be appointed by the Council as Vice-President of OHIM. The Administrative Board has prepared a list with a single candidate (Mr Maier) to be appointed by the Council as President of the Boards of Appeal of OHIM".Antonio is currently Chairperson of the Administrative Board and Paul Maier is the present incumbent as President of the Boards of Appeal. All nominees -- Messrs Campinos and Maier and the three innominate Vice-Presidential nominees (this being a job which only one can have at a time) -- must now await the decision of the Council of Ministers.

Comments will not be allowed if the contravene the IPKat policy that readers' comments should not be obscene or defamatory; they should not consist of ad hominem attacks on members of the blog team or other comment-posters and they should make a constructive contribution to the discussion of the post on which they purport to comment.
It is also the IPKat policy that comments should not be made completely anonymously, and users should use a consistent name or pseudonym (which should not itself be defamatory or obscene, or that of another real person), either in the "identity" field, or at the beginning of the comment. Current practice is to, however, allow a limited number of comments that contravene this policy, provided that the comment has a high degree of relevance and the comment chain does not become too difficult to follow.

Oh, no, here we go again with the inbreeding between the OHIM management and the AB/BC...
ReplyDeleteJust like the EPO. The selection board decides that they are better than any other candidate so nominate one of their own to a well-paid post.
ReplyDeleteDemocracy, democracy! My kingdom for democracy!
This may explain why one-name lists have become so popular in the OHIM in the last years.
ReplyDeleteWell,,,aparently the expected changes wont be that big, if the proposed candite is nominated.
ReplyDeleteand, that it what OHIM needs. Changes.
A "list" with a single candidate? That means they don't even bother to make it look kosher.
ReplyDeleteNot knowing that if you are an member of the AB you can vote for yourself, no conflict of interest?
ReplyDeleteOHIM seems more like a male or an inbreeding organisation between the OHIM management and the AB/BC
ReplyDeletehe Administrative Board has prepared a list with a single candidate (Mr. Maier) to be appointed by the Council as President of the Boards of Appeal of OHIM.
ReplyDeletenot again :-?
