The UIC Law's IP Master Class Series presents comprehensive seminars on critical and emerging areas of IP law in a one-day intensive CLE programming, which also limits enrollment to maximize interaction between participants. This year's IP Master Class will focus on four key areas of patent practice: the International Trade Commission, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, U.S. district courts, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. The virtual platform will provide networking opportunities throughout the day, including private and small-group video chats at virtual tables.

With a keynote from Judge Kent A Jordan (US District Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit) attendees will benefit from sessions on the latest developments in PTAB Practice, District Court Practice, ITC Practice, and Federal Circuit practice from speakers including Judge Kathleen M O'Malley (Circuit Judge, Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit), Hon Ted R Essex (ret) (Senior Counsel, Hogan Lovells), Elaine Blais (Goodwin Procter), Judge Edmund Chang (District Court Judge, US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois). How discretionary denials have dramatically changed PTAB practice (e.g., NHK/Fintiv)
