The UK Patent Office has released its facts and figures for the previous year. More details will follow, but first a little sport – the IPKat wants his readers to guess which companies filed the most: (1) patents; (2) trade marks and (3) designs in the UK during 2004. The answer will be posted at 2pm tomorrow. In the meantime, no cheating!

Don't know which companies they are, but I reckon it's a safe bet that none of them are European.

I am always a fan of blogs and websites that concern and informs about copyrights and infringement... however, don't you find it ironic that your website actually infringes on the copyrights of others without so much as a "howdy-do" to the owners of the copyright work? I am referring to artwork and photographs used as graphic elements in the blog. Especially your logo, as it is obviousy an American Hanna-Barbera cartoon character "Top Cat." And the cat with the question mark is an unaltered artwork belonging to Ed Perkins, an Austin, Texas artist. Then there are the photographs... yikes, maybe you ought to do an in-depth expose about your very own blog/website... imagine what would turn up.
