Thanks and all the best Cecilia! - The IPKat is sad to say farewell to Cecilia Sbrolli, who is stepping down from her role as GuestKat. An Italian IP enthusiast, Cecilia is currently a lawyer at the Brussels office of K&L Gates, mainly dealing with competition and commercial law issues. We thank Cecilia for all her work for and dedication to the blog and we look forward to collaborating with her in the future in some other capacity. Thanks Cecilia and all the best!

Events

On July 16th (11:00 EST/16:00 GMT) Managing IP and Incopro are hosting a free webinar on the topic of "Search Engines can do more to protect your intellectual property". The webinar will look in-depth at what actions search engines can take to help protect rights holder's IP, but more importantly what more can search engines do.

Join the webinar as the speakers - Simon Baggs (Incopro), Dan Glover (McCarthy Tetrault), Helen Saunders (Incopro), and Moderator Sanjana Kapila (Managing IP) - analyse:
  • What is happening online, with practical case study examples on issues affecting the pharma, sports, consumer product, motoring and electrical sectors
  • The case law that shows how search engines can be required to do more
  • What next steps brands can take to get more cooperation from search engines
The research conducted by Incopro and its legal network partners will be released in an upcoming white paper. More information and how to register for the webinar are available here.
