Vacancies at the CEIPI

  • The Research Department of the Center for International Intellectual Property Studies (CEIPI) is looking for a PhD candidate to do a PhD thesis on the topic "Intellectual property and sustainable development: what interactions? what protection?".
  • CEIPI is looking for a lawyer with a Master’s degree or LLM in Intellectual Property who would like to bring their expertise to the Center in patent litigation and the Unified patent court (research and support for the training activities of the center). Depending on candidate's profile, the position could take the form of a research assistant contract, a casual work contract or internship. This position could open the possibility of writing a doctoral thesis in the field of intellectual property.
  • The CEIPI is looking for a legal intern to advance the educational and research missions of the center. The intern will work with Prof. Christophe Geiger (Director General and Director of the Research Department of the CEIPI) on the research project on Human Rights and Intellectual Property. The intern will research case law with regard to fundamental rights implications of intellectual property. Excellent research and drafting skills are required.
  • The CEIPI is also looking for a legal intern expected to advance the educational and research missions of the CEIPI. This internship can be taken while studying for the bar exam.

WIPO fellowships

Applications for 2019 WIPO fellowships from PhD student & Post-docs are open. The Fellowship will be based at the Creative Economy Section of the Economics and Statistics Division (ESD) responsible for developing new economic analyses on innovation and IP, in particular in the area of copyright and digitization. The ideal candidate would be a PhD student or hold a PhD degree in economics. For more information and to apply write to alexander.cuntz@wipo.int

The 8th London IP Summit

The London IP Summit (LIPS)  is an annual networking meeting for C-level IP professionals aimed at promoting innovation and IP protection. This year's LIPS will be held on 14 October at the Biltmore Mayfair. LIPS is attended by 120 delegates representing largest and most innovative tech and biotech companies as well as top legal firms.
