UNION-IP event: "IP - Past, Present and Future"

Now that November has arrived, we are fast approaching the Christmas season. Our friends at UNION-IP would like to inform IPKat readers about their forthcoming seasonal event, which sounds like a very jolly affair indeed:

UNION-IP is delighted to announce that Mr Justice Colin Birss will be speaking at their Christmas dinner meeting on Tuesday 5 December 2017 at the Royal Overseas League. In full Dickensian style the topic of the evening will be “IP – Past, Present and Future”. The event promises good food and good company against the usual Christmas dinner backdrop of crackers, hats, Christmas pudding and mince pies! Full details and tickets can be obtained through EventBrite here.

It is also the IPKat policy that comments should not be made completely anonymously, and users should use a consistent name or pseudonym (which should not itself be defamatory or obscene, or that of another real person), either in the "identity" field, or at the beginning of the comment. Current practice is to, however, allow a limited number of comments that contravene this policy, provided that the comment has a high degree of relevance and the comment chain does not become too difficult to follow.
