Take that, Robbie

Digital Spy reports that pop-star Robbie Williams is listed as co-owner on the renewed registration of the TAKE THAT trade mark. Digital Spy speculates that this may mean that Williams has plans to rejoin the band, which is in the middle of a comeback.

The IPKat is familiar with people who surf the patent register for clues as to new products which will be launched by big-hitters in the future, but he didn’t realise people were watching out for trade mark owners in such minute detail. However, he suspects the reason may be more prosaic – Take That are almost certainly reaping revenue from their first incarnation when Williams was a fully-fledged member of the band.

  1. Thanks to the electronic caveat system it is easy to monitor pop star/group trade marks. Will the Gary Glitter four class registration be renewed in May 2007?
